The history of the development of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the Tashkent Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Medical Institute is directly related to the history of the Central Asian State University, organized in 1920 in Tashkent on the personal instructions of V.I. Lenin. In 1920, a group of progressive professors arrived in Tashkent to organize the university and its faculties, the first to respond to the call of the great leader of the revolution V.I. Lenin, among whom were doctors who organized the main core of the medical faculty. Among these professors was the first head of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases prof. S.F.Shtein, one of the founders of domestic and world otorhinolaryngology.
